Toad in the hole is a dish I very much associate with my childhood, however, in the recent years it sadly hasn’t featured much in my life. Not because I don’t love it anymore… I really do, but if I’m being totally honest, I had kind of forgotten about it. Well, until now that is. I know, I feel ashamed at myself for even muttering those words, but it’s true, up until this year these amazing sausage filled Yorkshire puds were very much at the back of my mind.
It’s almost the start of a new year. As of tomorrow 2014 will be the past and we would have all stepped foot into 2015… And with that we will most probably be joined by some horrendous hangovers. To thank you all for reading for the past year I thought it was only right that my last recipe of 2014 should really show my appreciation for your loyalty. Therefore I give to you the best gift anyone could ever want for the beginning of 2015, or any year in fact… The best hangover cure out there.
Brussel Sprouts… the vegetable that so many hate, yet they still appear on most tables over the festive period. Now I can’t say I’m a massive fan of the plain boiled sprout. I mean I would eat boiled sprouts out of sheer politeness, but I’d be lying if I said I enjoy them. I’m sorry to all the sprout lovers that I am bound to offend, but I’m afraid to say that plain boiled sprouts are just well, plain boring!
