Some of you may have realised by now that I’m quite the peanut butter fan. Mixed with a bit of chocolate and I’m in complete and utter heaven. The combination of the two is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. And whilst I have a fair amount of those on my blog, this one is rather high up on the list. Especially when Reese’s peanut butter cups are involved.
It’s pretty ironic when you name your blog Always Make Thyme, and then neglect it for over a year due to lack of time, isn’t it? Life was somewhat less hectic when I set up this website a few years back, but since then a lot has changed making blogging a little more challenging to fit into my schedule. A break was well needed, but I’m pretty excited to finally be back.
Now, I’ve never had the problem of having chocolate leftover from Easter, but I have heard that it is actually a thing. Apparently some people look for alternative ways of using up their leftover eggs rather than just eating them normally. It all seems very strange to me, but nevertheless I thought I’d join in and get a little more inventive with my chocolate this Easter time.
Today is a sad, sad day. Creme Egg season has officially come to an end and soon they will exit our shops for another long and lonely nine months. The fact that Creme Eggs are not sold throughout the whole year is something that really does bother me. Who are Cadbury’s to tell me what I can and cannot eat through the year? I mean they’re not even made of real Cadbury’s chocolate any more! Nevertheless, I still love them.
Around a year ago now I had a devastating discovery. For a while I had been suffering with very bad stomach pains and after being fobbed off by a few doctors telling me it was either IBS or a gluten intolerance, I decided to take measures into my own hands. See, I knew it was neither of these conditions, but I just couldn’t work out for the life of me what it actually was. After months and months of trying to work out what was causing my awful tummy pains, I finally got to the bottom of it. Coffee. My all time favourite drink, my saviour in the mornings and my best friend during a bad day had turned against me, and it hurt. It hurt a lot.
