In this month of vegetarianism, paneer has become one of my saviours. In actual fact, I didn’t love paneer at all the first time I tried it, but over the past few weeks I’ve really enjoyed it in a number of dishes. I initially found it quite tasteless, which if we’re being honest, it kind of is! But what this amazing cheese is truly great at doing is taking on the tasty flavours which surround it, and here’s a dish where it does just that!
A few months ago I decided that despite eating and enjoying a wide range of foods and different cuisines, I have far too much meat and fish in my diet. I know I’ll never be someone who can permanently give up these things for good, and nor do I want to. I really love meat and fish! But what I do want to do, is eat a lot less of these food groups going into the new year, which is why I have decided to embark on a month of vegetarianism.
A few weeks ago I was invited along to an evening dedicated to potatoes. But not just any kind of potatoes. No, this was a celebration of Idahoan potatoes. Recently launched in the UK, Idahoan have been providing the people of America with a range of convenient instant potato products for around 60 years now, and this evening was all about proving just how good this product is.
